Web 4. Some of you may have been disinterested in the cardiomyopathy paper that was published earlier this year but it has paid off big time in helping with JKD. One cardiologist was so enamoured with the paper that they have actively helped finding a nephrologist to guide us with JKD. And I am delighted to say, this has been successful. I had not intended to make immediate contact but a PM report on a Boxer case sent to me from abroad yesterday really had me puzzled and I sought advice. In doing so I described what boxerjkd has achieved with our breeder/owner studies and pedigrees. I was amazed to get a response within the hour and have since had three more back and for messages which have opened up my eyes. Jo and I are now booked to visit the lab in a couple of weeks. This really is a very positive and exciting step forward and I hope to be able to get answers to many questions on JKD, notably on an issue recently raised by vet, Cecilie Stromstad, that pyelonephritis or chronic interstitial nephritis may be further expressions of JKD. JKD is a complex disease.
