Australian Pedigrees

There have been a steady increase in the number of dogs being diagnosed with Boxer JKD in Australia. If you would like to report an Australian case of Boxer JKD please contact us here.
Notify us of a case
The Australian Pedigrees of Boxer JKD cases are published with the full consent of the dog's owners and in some cases the breeders of the dog.
Several more confirmed cases of Boxer JKD have been found in Australian Boxers. We are awaiting the owner/breeder permissions to publish. The list of pedigrees will be updated with the new pedigrees
All Australian cases have had a veterinary diagnosis of Boxer JKD using a range of different diagnostic tests followed by ultrasound imaging to confirm the diagnosis. A number of cases have also undergone Post mortem examination and histopathology of the kidneys.

The parents of all the diagnosed Boxer JKD cases are shown colour coded in blue, indicating that they are the sire or the dam of at least one affected Boxer JKD puppy.  Colour coding of these dogs when present as ancestors in other published pedigrees, merely indicates that they are parents of an affected puppy.  It does not imply that these dogs are necessarily responsible for the inheritance of the disease in these other Boxer JKD pedigrees.
