For several months, the breeder of the Boxer represented by pedigree UK 24 has disputed the presence of the pedigree on the Boxerjkd.com website, seemingly because the dog is still living and apparently in good health at 8 years of age. Boxerjkd has the original JKD Consent/Diagnosis form, signed by both vet and owner, and it is known that Boxers with JKD can live to old age without showing clear symptoms. Nevertheless Boxerjkd has offered to pay up to £50 for simple, non-invasive medical tests (urine, USG and blood) to confirm or deny the original diagnosis of JKD. If evidence is provided that the dog shows no indication of JKD, we will immediately remove the pedigree from the website regardless of the original diagnosis. Otherwise, it stays on. We hope that the breeder will instigate these simple tests so that this dispute can be resolved once and for all.
